How to find Buza bar in Dubrovnik

“How to find Buza bar” is something I seemed to find myself typing into Google on more than one occasion while visiting Dubrovnik.

Given Dubrovnik is so popular among tourists, as is Buza bar itself, the cliffside hang out was surprisingly difficult to find! Even Croatians looked at me blank faced when I “popped” the question.

So here you are future explorers… my short step by step guide on how to find Buza bar in Dubrovnik.

How to Find Buza bar in Dubrovnik

Hanging out at the Buza bar is one of many highlights while holidaying in Croatia. But how do you go about finding it?

Buza bar is often marked on Google maps as Bard Mala Buža. But Dubrovnik Old Town is a maze of staircases and passageways so locating it isn’t as easy as it first seems.

To get to Buza bar, start at Gundulic Square and fresh fruit market, or Gunduliceva Poljana Market as it may appear on Google maps.

Head to the south west corner of the square and climb Jezuit stairs, or Ul. uz Jezuite, and turn left once you reach the top.

Walk along the narrow street and when you find yourself under the city wall at the end, turn right onto Ul. od Margarite.

Next, you’ll see a “Cold Drinks” sign. Follow the arrow and the entrance should be on your left.

If all else fails, just ask for Buza bar or the hole-in-the-wall bar. That’s what got me through!

Once you arrive, sit back, mingle and take a dive – into relaxation if you aren’t quite up for cliff jumping.

I decided against taking my camera to Buza bar to have a tech free evening. But you can find more photos of the venue here.
