Sun kissed

Carry me all the way so my feet don’t touch the ground

Through the fields and into the night

Hold me in your arms

Where the dry long grass brushes the soles of my feet

As they swing from side to side

Cradled against your torso

I feel your strength

And to it I surrender

Dangling in the lull of your arms

As the sun is soon to set
